Police search for suspect in drug trafficking case

The police are searching for a man from GDh. Vaadhoo in connection to a drug trafficking case filed against him with the Hulhumale’ Magistrate Court.

The police made an announcement on Monday morning seeking the public’s aid in locating Mohamed Ahmed, 42, Eynaz, GDh. Vaadhoo.

According to the police, Mohamed Ahmed has a case against him at the Hulhumale’ Magistrate Court for trafficking cannabis.

The police are looking for him after the Hulhumale’ Magistrate Court issued a warrant to arrest and produce him before the court in police custody after he failed to present himself to the court.

The police have been instructed to present him to court at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 19.

Police have asked anyone with information regarding Mohamed Ahmed’s whereabouts to contact Police Custodial at 9991442.

The police also took the opportunity to thank the public for their cooperation in such matters.
