60-year-old falls from fifth floor of Male’ Hiya

An elderly man sustained injuries on Thursday, after falling from the fifth floor of Male’ Hiya 1 – a government housing complex in Male’ City.

The incident was reported to the police at around 06:50 am.

The man, identified by the police as a 60-year-old Maldivian male, was rushed to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The extent of his injuries is unclear at this point.

The incident is under investigation by the police.
