Police seek to summon four suspects in drug-related cases

Maldives Police Service made a public announcement on Wednesday, summoning four suspects in connection to drug-related cases under investigation by the authority’s Drug Enforcement Department (DED).

The suspects in this regard are:

• Aminath Sheeza, 33, Fair Village, Hulhumale’
• Hassan Nabeel, 42, Fehi Asseyri, GA. Kanduhulhudhoo
• Ease Ibrahim Fulhu, 46, Banafsaage, Th. Thimarafushi
• Yoosuf Mohamed Zaeem, H. Dhiyadhoo, K. Male’

Police said they have been unable to serve summons to the suspects as their whereabouts are unknown. Henceforth, the public announcement has been made, summoning the suspects to present themselves for interrogation, in line with Article 27 of the police procedure on summoning people for investigation in criminal cases, they added.

The suspects have been instructed to present themselves to Sargent Adam Haleem Criminal Investigation Building or the nearest police station at 14:00pm on next Tuesday.
