Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) has inaugurated this year’s edition of the annual Iqra Hybrid Bookfair.
The bookfair is being held at IUM’s Hall from November 17-21.
The opening hours are from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm, from 02:00 pm to 06:00 pm, and from 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
IUM’s Bureau Director Mohamed Yaniu Hashim told Sun the bookfair has books for all ages.
“From children’s books to religious, we have books of all categories,” he said.
IUM said the main purpose of holding the bookfair is to foster the love for book reading.
The additional activities that will be held during the bookfair includes sessions on accessing online resources, information sessions, and an online webinar to promote a culture of book reading.
