The Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) has been allocated a 35,000-square feet plot from Hulhumale’, says Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Shaheem said that it is one of the government’s goals to provide a suitable new building to run IUM.

Shaheem, who previously served as IUM’s chancellor, said that it is one of the university’s goals to attract overseas students.
He said that IUM was an important institution, and that the Islamic Ministry will provide its full cooperation to the university.
Earlier this year, IUM opened a learning center in R. Ungoofaaru.
