STELCO has begun dispatching generators to 12 islands in preparation for the upcoming hot season and the month of Ramadan, when electricity demand typically surges. The company said it is sending one genset to each island, though it did not disclose which islands are included. The shipment includes six 600 kW units, four 800 kW units, and two 1,000 kW units. STELCO
