The demand is high for flats under the government’s new ‘Boahiyaavahikan Enmenah’ scheme, with over 3,600 applications so far, says Housing Minister Dr. Abdulla Muthalib.

In an appearance on Public Service Media (PSM)’s ‘Raajje Miadhu’ show on Tuesday night, Muthalib said that the Housing Ministry has received 3,651 applications so far, with another 10,000 applications in the drafting stage.

Muthalib believes the high demand is because the government is offering three-bedroom flats under the scheme.

With over two months left until applications close, Muthalib expects to receive more applications as the deadline approaches.

Muthalib urged people not to rush their applications, and take the time to ensure their applications have all the necessary information and supporting documents.
