The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation on Tuesday, has opened the grant application window for the EU Youth Empowerment Fund under the Global Youth Mobilization initiative.
The ministry said grant applications will be accepted until July 21st, and added the opportunity is part of the partnership between the EU and “Big Six Youth Organizations”.
The grant was established with the aim of youth empowerment, and finance innovative local projects aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to enhance prosperity of the communities.
While youths between the ages of 14 and 30 are eligible to apply for the grant program, unofficial associations and registered youth organizations can submit applications as well.
The fund was established under the partnership, which is dedicated to dismantling barriers to funding and providing crucial opportunities for mentoring, coaching, and capacity building.
The program aims to ensure that marginalized and underrepresented communities have equitable access to resources. The program is also committed to engaging, empowering and mobilizing young people to address the most pressing global challenges, ranging from climate change, gender equality to education and employment access issues.
The ministry reports that individual youths and unofficial associations can seek grants between EUR 500 and 1,500 while registered youth organizations can seek funds between EUR 3,000 and 5,000.
Interested applicants may submit the form via the ministry’s official website. The form is available in multiple languages including Arabic, French, and Spanish besides English.
