Former journalist Azmoon appointed Deputy Sports Minister

Azmoon Ahmed, who had been serving as personal assistant to Sports Minister Ahmed Mahloof, has been appointed as the Deputy Sports Minister.

While President’s Office has yet to announce the appointment, his name is listed as a political appointee at the Sports Ministry on the President’s Office website.

Azmoon had previously worked as a journalist at RaajjeTV and CNM.

The Sports Ministry already had three deputy ministers prior to his appointment.
