IAC arranges for IUM professor's safe exit from Gaza

International Aid Campaign (IAC) Maldives has arranged funds, upon request, to ensure safe passage out of Gaza for Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Kurdi and his family.

IAC Maldives on Sunday confirmed the necessary funds have been handed to Dr. Kurdi already, and confirmed the association will arrange the finances for Kurdi and his family to fly to Maldives once they reach Egypt.

The IUM Professor requested for his family's safe passage out of Gaza on March 31st, after which IAC launched all efforts to safely escort them out of the battle-ridden territory.

Dr. Kurdi is the Professor or Arabic language at IUM.

While Israel amplified its attacks on Palestine since October 07th, 2023, Dr. Kurdi's family has been living in Rafah, where Israel is planning to launch its next large-scale attack.

Dr. Kurdi's wife is a primary grade teacher, and the couple has two daughters and two sons. Their eldest daughter is a Anesthesia and Intensive Care student.
