Maldives Police Service states that it has recommenced efforts to tow motorbikes parked in a manner on Male’ roads that obstructs other vehicles and pedestrians.
Police, via post on X on Wednesday, said they have begun towing vehicles parked on Male’ roads in a manner that obstructs other vehicles and pedestrians, especially on zebra crosssings.
The authority urged the public to park vehicles in parking zones and other areas allocated for parking.

The authority also thanked the public for cooperation received in their efforts to maintain order on the roads and ensure safety and security of citizens.
Police routinely tow vehicles unlawfully parked on Male’ roads.
Unlawful vehicle parking continues to be a major issue in the Maldivian capital, where vehicle numbers are high. Notably, it is still common to see vehicles parked on zebra crossings or in ways that block roads.
