Three migrants involved in violent altercation at Artificial Beach arrested

Maldives Police Service has arrested three migrants involved in a violent altercation at the Artificial Beach on Friday night.

Police said they received a report of a violation altercation between a group of migrants at approximately 20:30pm tonight.

According to the Police, the migrants had also attacked a Maldivian who was videoing the altercation between them.

The migrants arrested have been identified as three Indian males.

The case is under further investigation by the Police.

A video of the altercation, which went viral on social media, shows a large crowd gathered at Artificial Beach. While police officers are present at the scene, they are seen escorting an individual into a police car.

A violent altercation between a group of migrants also took place at Artificial Beach late last year.
