Police search for man over Civil Court no-show

The police are looking for a man after the Civil Court issued a warrant to arrest and produce him before the court in police custody after he failed to present himself for hearings.

The police posted an announcement on Wednesday seeking the public’s help to locate Mohamed Amir, 38, Dhondhu'burige, S. Hithadhoo.

According to the police, Amir has a court case filed against him for violating a protective order and damaging property.

The court issued an arrest warrant for him after he failed to attend hearings.

Police have asked anyone with information regarding Amir’s whereabouts to contact Police Custodial at 9991442.

The police also took the opportunity to thank the public for their cooperation in such matters.
