GDh. Hoadedhoo Council is seeking a party to develop a resort at Kan'devarehaa, an uninhabited island in the atoll.
Kan'devarehaa is a 4.6-hectare island under the jurisdiction of Hoadedhoo Council.
As per an announcement gazetted by the Council on Tuesday, local and foreign parties that are eligible to develop a resort submit their expression of interest for the project.
Interested parties can purchase the bidding documents from 9:00am to 13:00pm on all days except government holidays until November 17th.
A pre-bid meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM to provide information for interested parties at 13:00pm on October 15th. The Council has requested to email them at [email protected] specifying name, email address and phone number before 14:00pm on October 13th to participate in the information session.
The submission of proposals is scheduled for 13:30pm on November 24th.

Kan'devarehaa is the closest island to Hoadedhoo from the islands located in the same lagoon. Tourism Ministry also sought a party to develop a tourist resort at the island back in 2021.
