MP Siyam sponsors ‘maahefun’ in Kudafari

People of all ages gathered in N. Kudafari on Friday, to enjoy one last ‘maahefun’, a special traditional feast, before welcoming the holy month of Ramadan.

The feast was held at the Maizan Magu in Kudafari after Friday prayers.

Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, the leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) and parliamentary representative of Meedhoo constituency, was the main sponsor of the feast, held under the title the ‘Kudafari Community Maahefun’.

The ‘maahefun’ was attended by Siyam, Kudafari councilors, and people of all ages.

Kudafari Council described the event as a show of the strong neighborly bonds within the Kudafari community.

 Kudafari Council’s president Ali Shameem thanked Siyam for his support.

Siyam met with members of the local community and asked after their welfare during the event.
