Police have launched an investigation into the sexual abuse of a young girl in Male’ City.
A police spokesperson confirmed to Sun on Saturday afternoon that the sexual abuse of child in a school in Male’ City has been reported to the authorities. However, the spokesperson did not say when the report was filed, and declined to disclose details.
However, Sun has been informed the victim is a preschool student.
Police have yet to make an arrest in connection to the case.
The latest case of sexual violence against a child comes a day after the police arrested a suspect for the sexual abuse of an 11-year-old girl in northern Maldives.
