Man arrested for grooming, soliciting sexual activity from minor

Police have arrested a 35-year old individual for the grooming and attempted sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl. 

Reports of the case were received on September 30, 2020, according to Police. The case involves a man who allegedly solicited sexual activity and groomed the underage girl for the purpose on multiple occasions.

The man was arrested from an island in the South-Central Police Division which includes the Th. Atoll and L. Atoll. The man was arrested on October 5, 2020, under a court order.

Police did not disclose details of the case due to the victim being a minor.
