Foreigner arrested for sexually abusing small boy

A male foreigner has been arrested in the Maldives for alleged sexual abuse of a 10-year old boy.

Police stated that the case was received today and involved a foreigner who had abused a boy on an island in the Northern division.

A 36-year old male was arrested in connection with the case. Atolls in the Northern division include N, B, R, and Lh. Atoll.

Police do not specify exact information such as location, in cases of child abuse.
