Met Office: Bad weather expected for most of the country

Maldives Meteorological Services (Met office) has stated that bad weather is expected for the entire country today.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms are to be expected from K. Atoll to Fuvahmulah city in the south of the country, according to Met Office.

The service also issued a white alert that will expire on 15:00 in the afternoon, meaning travelers are to take caution.

Seas across the country are expected to be moderate. Wind speeds are estimated to be around 13 miles per hour rising to 30 miles during gusts.
