Weather forecasted to worsen at Eid’s end

The active Southwest Monsoon, locally known as the Hulhangu Monsoon, is expected to intensify towards the end of the Eid al-Adha holidays, unleashing rough seas and possible swell waves during high tide. In a statement on Saturday, the national weather warned that an adverse weather episode is expected over the Maldives next week. The adverse weather episode is expected to start on
