The application deadline for courses at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) for the first semester has been extended to January 31.
IUM has announced 54 courses ranging from certificate-level to Master’s Degree for its January intake.
The field of studies offered include Islamic finance, Sharia and law, education, leadership, Quran, Islamic studies, and Arabic language.
The university also offers a Diploma in Teaching Arabic Language and Degree in Teaching Arabic Language – designed to train teachers for the newly introduced Arab module at Maldivian schools.
Application forms for courses at IUM is available from the university’s reception, and available for download from the university’s website.

IUM, formerly known as Kulliyathul Dhiraasathul Islamiyya, was established to promote Islamic education in Maldives in 2004. The university has since educated scores of Maldivian students who have received internationally recognized educational qualifications.
The university has also launched two PhD programs and 11 Master’s Degree programs at the institute.
