Seaplane MRO hangar complete; ready for testing

Construction of the seaplane MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) hangar at the new seaplane terminal being built at Velana International Airport (VIA) is now complete, says Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).

The new seaplane terminal and MRO hangar is part of the Airport Development Project underway at VIA.

MACL said this Sunday that construction of the seaplane MRO hangar is now complete.

The company said the hangar is now ready for assessment by Civil Aviation.

The MRO hanger is built on a 14,000-square meter area including both land and water.

Construction of the seaplane terminal is also underway.
