VIA to hold biggest emergency drill in aviation

Velana International Airport (VIA) is gearing up for its biggest emergency preparedness exercise yet, set for September 8, 2025.  This Full-Scale Emergency Exercise (AFEX) will be the largest of its kind in the history of Maldives aviation, showcasing the airport’s commitment to safety and readiness. The event, mandated by the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aims
