33 complaints over non-issuance of Ramadan allowance

Labor Relations Authority (LRA) states they have received complaints from 33 individuals over non-issuance of Ramadan allowance. Every Maldivian employee is entitled to a Ramadan Allowance of minimum MVR 3,000, payable before the beginning of Ramadan, under Article 51 (a) of the Employment Act. LRA had earlier opened the submission of complaints for employees who have not received their Ramadan Allowance. Speaking with
