President departs on tour of Huvadhoo Atoll

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has departed on a tour of Huvadhoo Atoll on Tuesday morning.

The President scheduled to visit five islands in South Huvadhoo Atoll (Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll): Hoadedhdhoo, Nadella, Vaadhoo Fiyoari, and Rathafandhoo, as well as four islands in North Huvadhoo Atoll (Gaafu Alifu Atoll): Kanduhulhudhoo, Nilandhoo, Maamendhoo, and Dhevvadhoo.

During the visit, he will inaugurate the water and sanitation network service in Hoadedhdhoo.

He will also meet citizens, inquire about the island’s developmental needs and address the citizens. 

The President will also meet the councils of Maamedhoo and Dhevaddhoo to have a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the citizens and their developmental needs.

The tour is part of President’s pledge to visit all the islands at least twice during his five-year term. 

Cabinet ministers and senior government officials are accompanying President Muizzu on the tour which is set to conclude on Thursday.
