The Business Center Corporation (BCC) has issued a call for expression of interest to develop a multi-story warehouse facility in Hulhumale’.

BCC said the warehouse facility will be designed to deliver tailored storage solutions for Mirco, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

It will be developed in Hulhumalé Lot 10681 Plot M4-11.

According to an announcement posted on the Government Gazette on Tuesday, the development models that can be proposed for this project include, but are not limited to, the contractor finance model, the joint venture model or the lease model for the design, engineering, construction and operation of the entire warehousing facility.

BCC said that regardless of the model proposed, the benefits to both the proponent and the BCC should be clearly stated.

BCC said that if it receives more than one proposal, it will proceed with the proposal that meets the corporation’s strategic objectives for the project the best.

The corporation said that the expressions of interest will be evaluated based on the proponent’s experience in similar projects, available financial resources, technical capabilities, proposed team, and the proposed concept for the warehousing facility.

Interested parties have been asked to submit the expression of interest application form, along with the proposed concept design, to the BCC via email to [email protected].

BCC is a State-owned Enterprise charged with implementing MSME development projects initiated by the Economic Ministry. The corporation said that the warehouse project is designed to foster the growth and long-term sustainability of MSMEs.
