Young footballer reported missing; last seen in Hulhumale’ Phase III

The police have launched a search operation to find a former national footballer reported missing from the Maldivian capital.

The police announced on Wednesday that they are looking for Mohamed Saaif, 30, Heeraa, HA. Hoarafushi. He currently resides at Hulhumale’ flat 35-2-205.

According to the police, Saaif was last seen at around 09:00 pm on Tuesday from Hulhumale’ Phase III.

He was wearing jeans and a long-sleeved light green colored shirt.

Saaif is a professional footballer who represented the Maldives at the under 23 level before making his senior debut in 2016. A talented defender, he played club football in Buru Sports Club, Valencia, Maziya, New Radiant, Victory Sports Club, and Club Green Streets.

Police asked for anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call the police hotline at 3322111 or the Hulhumale’ Phase II Police Station at 9393351.
