President embarks on tour of four northern atolls

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has commenced on a tour of several islands in HA. Atoll, HDh. Atoll, Sh. Atoll and N. Atoll.

He began the six-day tour on Saturday afternoon.

During the tour, President Muizzu will engage with local councils and the Women’s Development Committees (WDCs).

He will also meet with local communities to discuss the intended developmental plans for their respective communities, and listen to their concerns.

President Muizzu previously stated that he would work closely with the people to deliver developmental promises.

He said he intends to personally visit and collaborate with local councils to ensure that developmental projects resonate with the people’s aspirations.

He aims to visit all the councils before Ramadan.

The trip to northern Maldives comes after he visited multiple islands in four southern atolls last week.

President Muizzu has met with all the councils of Th. Atoll, and Addu and Fuvahmulah cities.

In GA. Atoll and GDh. Atoll, he met all the councils except two.

A high-level government delegation is accompanying the president on the tour.
