The Infrastructure Ministry has contracted Road Development Corporation (RDC) for the survey and Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) for the road development project in Vilimale’, and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for the survey and EIA on the airport development project in F. Nilandhoo.
The contracts were signed in a ceremony attended by Infrastructure Minister Dr. Abdulla Muthalib on Thursday.
According to Muthalib, the contract for the survey and EIA on the Vilimale’ road project is worth MVR 1.79 million.
The survey and EIA will help identify the cost of the project, he said.
Meanwhile, the contract for the survey and EIA on the Nilandhoo airport project is worth MVR 378,0000.
The funds for land reclamation for the Nilandhoo airport is allocated in this year’s state budget.
Both RDC and MTCC are required to complete the survey and EIA in 120 days.
