Ahmed Shareef appointed shipping company's MD

Newly appointed managing director of Maldives State Shipping (MSS) Ahmed Shareef with his wife Aminath Ibrahim, deputy minister at Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage.

Ahmed Shareef has been appointed the managing director of Maldives State Shipping (MSS).

Shareef’s appointment was announced by the company via a post on X, in which the company congratulated him on his appointment.

Shareef who was also appointed the president of Police Board which was constituted by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on November 23rd – had served as the senior council executive at Male’ City Council during President’s Muizzu tenure as the mayor.

Shareef pursued his higher education in the area of maritime. In this regard, he holds a master's degree.

His first job following graduation from school in 1988 was an assistant editor at Television Maldives. He has also worked as a journalist in Haveeru.

Shareef’s wife, Aminath Ibrahim is a deputy minister at the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage.
