President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem as the CEO of Dharumavantha Hospital.
Haleem was presented with his letter of appointed in a ceremony at the President’s Office on Tuesday.
The appointment was made at ministerial level.
Haleem had served in the management of several state-owned enterprises during former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration, including as CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). He also served as interim head of Fenaka Corporation.
State hospitals Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Dharumavantha Hospital, Hulhumale’ Hospital and Vilimale’ Hospital all operate under one board.
On Tuesday, President Muizzu renamed the boar from "Male’ Hospitals Board of Trustees" as the "Male’ City Group of Hospitals' Governing Board".
The board is administratively overseen under the purview of the Ministry of Health.
