Shah appointed Deputy CEO of Dharumavantha Hospital

Former State Minister for Health Dr. Shah Mahir has been appointed the Deputy CEO of Dharumavantha Hospital.

His appointment was confirmed to Sun by the hospital’s CEO Razzaq Haleem.

Shah who became the state minister on a slot allocated for Jumhoory Party (JP) resigned from his post on August 28.

This was after he left the party. Back then, Shah said he tendered his resignation as he believed it was not right to remain in a political post in the former administration in a slot allocated for JP,

He also said he resigned from his post as he no longer supported the former administration.

Following his resignation, Shah joined The Democrats.

Although Shah was among officials from the Health Ministry who were suspended over the ventilator corruption case during the COVID-19 pandemic, ACC had decided against pursuing charges against him following their investigation.

Shah is a name-worthy individual in the Maldivian health sector who completed his MBBS and higher education from prominent foreign universities.
