Maid arrested for physical violence against minor

An Indian woman has been arrested on suspicion of using physical violence against a child.

The 22-year-old Indian woman arrested from Male’ was presented before the Criminal Court for a remand hearing.

In the court’s remand order, it was stated that the police had submitted sufficient evidence to invoke suspicion. Evidence submitted by the police, in this regard, included a video of the woman.

In light of this, Criminal Court ordered the woman’s remand in police custody, citing she was a possible danger to the society.

She was remanded in police custody for 15 days.

As per the court’s order, the victim in the case is a child who she has been employed to look after.
