Higher Education Ministry has opened application for students who completed their higher secondary education in 2022 eligible for the president’s scholarship and high achievers' scholarship.
Students who sat for their higher secondary exams in a local school or madrasa and scored ‘A*’ in three GCE A-level subjects and Dhivehi and Islam in HSC exams, and students who completed shahada secondary from an Arab-medium local school who scored ‘A*’ in all subjects are eligible for the president’s scholarship.
They will be eligible for full scholarships for Bachelor’s degree course of their choice from any country of their choice.
Meanwhile, students who sat completed their higher secondary exams in a local school or madrasa and scored ‘A’ in three GCE A-level subjects including Dhivehi and Islam in HSC exams are eligible for the high achievers’ scholarship.
They are eligible for full scholarships for a Bachelor’s Degree course of their choice from Maldives, SAARC nations, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, China and OECD nations.
Students may apply for both scholarships within the next 18 months.
