Chief Inspector Rilwan Shareef – the first officer from Maldives Police Service to be selected to work at Interpol Headquarters – was presented the letter of approval for his secondment on Thursday.
The letter of approval was presented to Chief Inspector Rilwan by Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed.

Chief Inspector Rilwan is scheduled to work at Interpol’s Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption Centre in Lyon, France, for a period of three years starting from December 1.
Commissioner Hameed’s tweet announcing the presentation of the letter of approval said that the secondment is a demonstration of Maldives Police Service’s commitment to international police cooperation and its resolve to fight against international crime.
