Maldivian Democratic Party's candidate for the by-election for Parliament's Komandoo constituency Mohamed Raashid leads from the current results.
While there were a total of seven ballot boxes placed for today's voting, the current results show Raashid leading.
At the moment, the temporary results for all but one box have been announced. As per the temporary results, Raashid received 1,119 votes.
His closest opponent was the candidate for the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Moosa Fathuhee, who received 924 votes.

Results of ballot box number one placed in Iskandhar School has yet to be announced.
The Komandoo seat was left vacant following the death of MP Hussain Waheed on December 14. He died at the age of 53 years in a hospital in Male’ City after a year-long battle with cancer.
