Maldives Post launches online shop named ‘Community Online Shop’

Maldives Post has launched an online shop named ‘Community Online Shop’.

The shop which specializes in local products was launched by Environment Minister Aminath Shauna during a special ceremony held at Kulhudhuffushi City for the purpose.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Shauna thanked Maldives Post for catering such important services to the public.

The virtual shop established in Maldives Post’s virtual platform, eTukuri, is aimed at providing the opportunity for island-based sellers to sell their products across different areas in the country.

Maldives Post said that the purpose of establishing such a shop in eTukuri platform is to provide a market space for local sellers, and deliver the products to buyers through their nationwide delivery system.

They added the service will be available in all post offices established at atolls. Furthermore, they noted to be working on expanding the service to additional islands as well.

Maldives Post added that they hope to provide the opportunity for island-based sellers across all islands in the Maldives to venture into the online market in selling their products in this endeavor.

They also described it as an important step towards expanding its domestic operations in the atolls through the assistance of e-solutions.
