Maldives Post Limited’s Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Adhuham has been dismissed from his post.
Adhuham was appointed to the post on August 8, 2020, while he was the Feydhoo constituency president of the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
When he was dismissed three days ago, Adhuham had already left MDP to join the party’s former leader, Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed’s The Democrats.
Adhuham played a lead role in serial protests held by then-opposition parties during former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyom’s administration.
Maldives Post Limited is a subsidiary of state-owned Island Aviation Services; a change made during Yameen’s administration.
