Second COVID-19 case identified in Nolhivaram

A second positive case of COVID-19 has been identified from the island of H. Dh. Nolhivaram.

the first case that tested positive in Nolhivaram had traveled to the island from Male’ City. The individual was in home-quarantine when tested positive.

The second is reported as the brother of the first case. The individuals were living in the same residence after traveling from Male’ together.

There is one more individual in quarantine at the residence along with them. Noe one else is residing in the house, and it is reported that the individuals are all living in separate rooms in the house.

Samples were collected from the first individual to test positive for COVID-19 in the island while the individual was in Male’ City. The individual was tested randomly.

Previous cases of COVID-19 in home-quarantined individuals were identified in the island of G. A. Maamendhoo in the south. A child in home-quarantine in the island of A. A. Thoddoo also tested positive for the virus tonight.
