Former Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has once again been summoned to the police.
Speaking with Sun, Dr. Muizzu said that he had received a chit to attend the police at 20:15 tomorrow night.
Dr. Muizzu was summoned to the police in February as well. He was questioned due to a complaint by the Attorney General's Office over his actions in an arbitration case brought against the state by Noomadi Resorts and Residences.
Dr. Muizzu had stated back then that a lot of allegations were made against him during the questioning session by police which took almost an hour. Sources had also claimed that Dr. Muizzu was accused of obstruction of justice and impeding the work of the state.
Dr. Muizzu had also stated back then that he believed there was a connection between his bid for Male’ city mayor and police summoning him for questioning. Dr. Muizzu is among the candidates who will contest for the post of Male' City mayor.
Speaking today, Dr. Muizzu said that he was being summoned for the same investigation.
“I will fully cooperate with the investigation. We will always recognize the work of police and MNDF.” Said Dr. Muizzu.
