Finance Ministry has requested government offices to submit the cashflow of the respective offices to the Ministry by December 23, 2019.

A circular issued by the Ministry to government offices last Thursday read that the budget for these offices could only be released when the cashflow details and information of the offices are received. The circular also read that the budget will be disbursed according to the Budget Disbursement Plan presented to the Parliament. The circular also included guidelines for the cashflow plan.

The Parliament has already passed the state budget for next year. 2020 will see the government with a massive budget of MVR 37.8 billion which was passed by the Parliament on December 5, 2019.
