Transport Ministry has announced the decision to digitalize many of the services provided by Transport Authority in a bid to increase public convenience.

At a press conference this Monday, Transport Minister Aishath Nahula announced TA’s services related to driver’s license will be available online starting from Sunday, July 21.

“I announce that all services related to licenses will be made available online. And port dues and cargo dues services will also be made available online,” said Nahula.

TA has also made changes to the hours it issues tokens for services to increase public convenience. Though the TA previously issued only a limited number of tokens per day, it now issues unlimited tokens from 8 am to 11 am.
