The Physiotherapy Department at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has been moved to the new State hospital – Dharumavantha Hospital.
Media official for IGMH, Mohamed Mufeed reported to ‘Sun’ this Monday that the physio department is now located on the fourth floor of Dharumavantha Hospital.
“Physiotherapy services will now be available from Dharumavantha Hospital. We will be shifting additional services [to Dharumavantha Hospital] in the future,” said Mufeed.
He declined to comment on the official opening date of Dharumavantha Hospital.
Built at the cost of USD 140 million (MVR 2.1 billion) from the State budget, Dharumavantha Hospital is located next to IGMH and serves as an extension to the hospital.
An additional MVR 818 million was allocated in the State budget to acquire the machinery and equipment needed for the hospital.
