Dr. Aminath Shafia (CL) receives her letter of appointment as Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources from President of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Dr. Ali Shameem (CR) on January 8, 2019.
Interim Director-General of Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources, Dr. Aminath Shafia has been appointed the ministry’s Permanent Secretary.
Dr. Shafia was serving as interim DG of Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources when she was appointed PS by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) last Tuesday.
Dr. Shafia has a PhD in Plant Science, a Double Masters Degree in Environment Biology and Agriculture, and a Degree in Agriculture.
She has spent 13 of her 28 years at civil service as an executive at the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Marine Resources.
