Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has opened a family and recreations room for the children of its employees, an Aailee Bageecha, on its premises.

Aailee Bageecha was opened by Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof, this Sunday.

Mahloof recently changed ministry regulations to allow staff to take children to work.

The minister said he hoped the Aailee Bageecha will be a huge convenience to the staff at the ministry.

He also said a special set of regulations has been set up on the use of Aailee Bageecha, which he hoped all staff will follow.

“I, myself know how difficult it is to work away from our children. It’s not right that I alone be allowed to bring my daughter here. Every staff should have the same option. I therefore hope everyone will make good use of this opportunity,” said Mahloof.

Mahloof said he was pleased to open such a facility at the ministry, and praised the cooperation of the ministry staff in setting up the Aailee Bageecha.
