In a significant move to strengthen regional ties and address community concerns, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, President of the Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) and Member of Parliament for Meedhoo Constituency, held a series of pivotal meetings with leaders from various Dhaalu Atoll islands on Saturday evening.

The high-profile engagements, hosted at the newly unveiled MDA Political Center in Bandidhoo, saw Siyam connect with senior officials, including former and current councilors, from Kudahuvadhoo, Hulhudheli, Rinbudhoo, Meedhoo, Maaenboodhoo, and Bandidhoo.

Discussions centered on the strategic future and ongoing activities of the MDA, alongside a focused dialogue on the pressing concerns of the islands and actionable strategies for their resolution. During these crucial deliberations, Siyam underscored the paramount importance of political leaders embracing their responsibility in tackling the issues faced by the people.

The evening also marked a monumental occasion for the MDA with the inauguration of its second political center in Bandidhoo. Siyam officially opened the new hub at a ceremony earlier on Saturday afternoon.

This expansion signifies a major stride for the MDA, as it extends its political footprint beyond the capital. The party's inaugural political center was successfully established in Fuvahmulah City on July 30, 2023.

Founded on December 20, 2012, MDA stands as the fourth-largest political party in the Maldives.
