Land allocated for two new mosques in Hulhumale’ Phase II

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has allocated land to the Islamic Ministry to build two new mosques in Hulhumale’ Phase II.

The land agreement was signed by Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and HDC’s Managing Director Brigadier General (Retired) Ali Zuhair on Tuesday.

According to the Islamic Ministry, the land allocated for the new mosques include a 27,920-square-feet plot and a 20,720-square-feet one.

The mosques that will be built there will each cater to between 2,000-3,000 people.

The planned mosques seek to meet the rise in the population in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
