1,000-member group from GoHighLevel visit Maldives on corporate retreat

Some 1,000 employees from software company GoHighLevel visited the Maldives on a corporate retreat in July – a visit the country’s tourism promotion board Visit Maldives said showcased the Maldives’ ability to accommodate and cater to high-profile MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travel.

In a statement on Thursday, Visit Maldives said that the visit, organized by India’s leading travel platform Pickyourtrail, reaffirms the Maldives’ growing reputation as a preferred destination for corporate and group travel from one of the country’s most important source markets, India.

Visit Maldives partnered with the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) to provide a special welcome to them as they began arriving in the Maldives on July 10. According to the tourism board, the first VIPs arrived on July 11, with arrivals continuing through July 13. They were greeted with traditional boduberu performances, curated welcome gifts, and personal greetings from the Visit Maldives’ corporation team.

The group, comprising top performers and employees, was hosted at the Sun Siyam Olhuveli.

Visit Maldives said the large-scale corporate offsite visit showcased the Maldives’ ability to accommodate and cater to high-profile MICE travel, underscoring the country’s appeal among Indian corporate travelers seeking premium experiences.

Pickyourtrail is widely recognized in the Indian market for its innovative, tech-driven approach to customized travel planning.

Visit Maldives said their r decision to bring such a large delegation to the Maldives reflects the strong trust and interest Indian travelers have in the destination, and also complements the ongoing efforts by corporation to enhance destination visibility in India through a series of strategic marketing initiatives.

India is currently ranked as the sixth top source market for tourist arrivals to the Maldives, with over 75,000 visitors so far this year.

Visit Maldives said that it has been engaged in efforts to strengthen ties with the Indian travel trade to further position the Maldives as a top-of-mind destination for all travel segments.

In addition to its collaboration with Pickyourtrail, Visit Maldives said it is also currently conducting destination promotion campaigns with leading Indian travel brands such as Make My Trip and TBO.

A high-impact celebrity endorsement campaign featuring Bollywood star Katrina Kaif as Visit Maldives’ global ambassador is also underway.
