Katrina Kaif, the newly appointed global ambassador for Visit Maldives, has not yet confirmed when she will travel to the Maldives, Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree said on Tuesday.

Visit Maldives announced Katrina’s appointment on June 10 as part of its global promotional campaign. Under the ambassadorship, she is expected to promote the Maldives and share her experiences with international audiences.

Speaking at a press conference, Shiuree noted that Katrina recently gave birth, and the organisation has not been provided with a confirmed travel date.

“Although we have not been given a specific date, we believe she will visit as soon as possible according to her schedule,” he said.

Katrina Kaif and her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, announced the birth of their son on the 7th of last month. Visit Maldives later congratulated her in an Instagram post.

Katrina’s appointment comes as part of Visit Maldives’ broader global marketing push, which highlights the Maldives as a luxury destination across key markets.
