According to Visit Maldives, the initiative aims to introduce adventure-based storytelling for the Maldives, showcasing the country as an Ocean Nation and a premier destination for marine, adventure, and experiential tourism. The journey will highlight the Maldives’ underwater landscapes, ecosystems, and cultural ties to the sea.
In this regard, Shafraz will make scheduled stopovers on selected islands, supported by partners, hotels, and local councils. The expedition will be documented through underwater videography, island highlights, interviews, and sustainability-focused storytelling, giving global audiences an immersive look at the Maldives’ marine heritage.
Across Maldives 2026 is led by Visit Maldives with Shafraz Naeem, supported by Ooredoo Maldives as the tech partner and beOnd Airlines as the airline partner.
Visit Maldives added that the expedition marks the start of a major national campaign aimed at increasing the Maldives’ global visibility through a record-breaking achievement that reflects the country’s long-standing dedication to ocean stewardship.
